Clay Is My Medium
In 1976, I took my first class in clay art; a summer school class in my neighborhood. In my early 20's I played with
clay at my local community ed studio, as a release from my stressful day job. My time spent working with clay
ebbed and flowed in years to follow, but my love for the medium never let up.
In 2003, we converted our den into a pottery studio, and, alongside raising our 2 kids,
Ive been happily creating there ever since.
I work with mid fire stoneware and seem to be driven by lots of color. The more bright the colors, the better.
I make functional pieces (plates, mugs, bowls, serve ware, etc), wall hung art, and jewelry.
